  • Own Your Choices

    Own Your Choices

Anytime someone says to me “It’s so hard to eat healthy!” I get it.
    There’s temptation everywhere.
You are busy and want convenience.
Other people might not have the same goals as you if those goals are around improving health or weight loss.

But I gotta tell you the truth…
Choosing to eat healthy isn’t hard.

You kinda already know what to do.
You know salad is a better option than potato chips.

You know when you’re eating out, the grilled chicken is a better choice than the fried chicken.

So then, why do you think it’s so hard?

    There are 2 reasons:

    1. We are, as humans, wired to crave fatty, salty, and sweet – those are just things that our pallets like.
    2. “It’s hard” is a story you have told yourself for so long you actually believe it.

Choosing the healthier option is actually quite easy if you think about it.

Committing to always putting the better choice into your mouth will have drastic results.

So, start telling yourself a different story today.

When you say or think “it’s hard” just remember how easy it actually is – it’s just a matter of following through, my friend. 🙂

Let me know if you agree with this.

P.S. And of course if you need support, guidance, and accountability to make sure you follow through, we’re here for you.

Here’s a free gift – that can actually help you choose better.

IF YOU FOUND THIS BLOG HELPFUL IN ANYWAY PLEASE SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS.

  • The Hateful Eight

    The Hateful Eight

Dr. Cate Shanahan has been extremely vocal, especially since the pandemic hit about the havoc seed oils are wreaking on the human body. She’s one of the topic metabolic experts in the world, and she knows a thing or two about how the human body functions.

Before processed food was a thing less than 100 years ago, fat made up a huge portion of the human diet.

But it was natural fats that do our bodies good – from animals and plants. Since the low-fat crazes in the 1980s, we’ve been gradually eliminating naturally occurring fats from foods and replacing them with unnatural, toxic, chemical-laden oils and sugars.

Dr. Shanahan calls these oils specifically “The Hateful Eight,” and she recommends avoiding them at all costs to reduce toxicity and inflammation in the body, and thereby, reduce your risk of metabolic diseases like diabetes.

And she even believes cutting these oils will enable to you to combat the Coronavirus with much more ease.

The problem is that these oils are in TONS of prepackaged foods from salad dressing to bread to processed foods to foods prepared in restaurants.

Whether you attempt to avoid these oils entirely or simply start taking a closer look at labels to reduce your consumption, I wanted to provide this quick list for you today from her website drcate.com to increase your awareness and enable you to make informed decisions for yourself.

    These oils are:

    1. Soy oil
    2. Sunflower oil
    3. Safflower oil
    4. Canola oil
    5. Corn oil
    6. Cottonseed oil
    7. Hydrogenated oil
    8. Refined palm oil

Are you planning to take a closer look? Reply below and let me know your thoughts!

  • 6 Keys to Body Fat Loss

    Keys to Body Fat Loss

Sometimes common sense isn’t so common.

That’s why we’re always looking for an easier way, the magic bullet if you will.

That’s why we get sucked into diet pills and cabbage soup diets, and why the diet industry grows by the minute.

Because we just want there to be that * perfect * solution. The one that allows us to reach our body goals without so much effort and without giving up what we love.

But in order to change, something does have to give.

You simply can’t do what you’ve always done and create new results.

Conversely, it doesn’t have to be over complicated either (contrary to what the diet industry would like you to believe).

My current triathlete in training (seen in the before/after image) states the following:
“I was around 180 pounds when I started with coach Erinne; taking prescription Omeprazole every day for reflux/heartburn. I have not taken any heart burn medicine in the over a year (since I started your program) and my weight is down to 150 pounds. – Richard Gomez

If you’re struggling with losing body fat, here are a few simple things that will help you progress (no fad diets required)…

    1. Chose more nutrient dense foods that fill you up so you don’t need the filler foods to feel satisfied.
    2. Lift some weights! Adding lean muscle to your body increases how many calories your body burns every day, even at rest, and it sets your metabolism on fire.
    3. Eat enough clean protein (wild caught seafood, free range organic meats and poultry) and good fats (Raw organic nuts, avocados, olive and coconut oils)
    4. Eat way more fibrous carbs (fruits and veggies) than starchy carbs (bread, rice, etc)
    5. Drink calorie-free beverages like water, mineral water, organic tea or coffee only but no synthetic or chemical ingredients.
    6. Stay consistent and don’t give up!

    It truly is that simple.

If you’ve been struggling for a while with this, I’d love to help.

I’ll be hosting a new program teaching my tribe how to eat and live for health, nutrition and immune system boosting. If this is something that you want to be included in or learn more about, please enter your name in the comments below.

  • Sugar is Sugar is Sugar

    Sugar is Sugar is Sugar

    “But what about honey?”

“I heard agave nectar is so good for you!”

“Coconut sugar is definitely super healthy!”

I’m here today to be the loving bearer of bad news, my friend.

No matter how you slice it, all sweeteners are still SUGAR.

Sure, different sources of sugars are made of different compounds and interact with your body on somewhat different levels, but at the end of the day…

    SUGAR IS SUGAR

    And we can’t change it.

Sugar negatively affects our health from our waistlines to our teeth to our hunger, energy, & cravings all the way to our hormones.

Our biology simply hasn’t caught up to deal with this. We eat more sugar in a week now than humans used to eat in a year just a century ago and it gets worse by the decade.

I’m not here to convince you to give up sugar.
I am here to tell you that there’s no “healthy” sugar or sugar substitute no matter how you slice it.

So, if you’re trying to reduce sugar or give it up entirely, there’s no real alternative aside from naturally sweet substances like fruits that also contain fiber.

It’s also true that the less sugar you eat, the less you’ll crave.

While you don’t have to cut sugar entirely overnight, every single one of us should be aiming to have sugar in our diet as minimally as possible for optimal health. Less than 50 grams / day is a great goal. and this is including fruit.

If you are going to choose a sweetener- here are a few best choices and tips.
    -stay away from white sugar
-Coconut sugar, raw organic honey, real maple syrup or Raw Stevia or dates as slightly better options.
-Organic Fruit is always a better choice for a sweet treat
-Apples, pears and berries have the least amount of sugar

I’m curious – what’s your relationship with sugar? Are you trying to curb it? If so, how’s that going? Reply below and let me know!

  • Healthy Eating Couldn’t be Simpler

    Healthy Eating Couldn’t be Simpler

Many of the best, fastest, and healthiest meals require absolutely no recipes, no prep work, and really, not a whole lot of thought!

If you’ve got some kind of protein, vegetables, oil or water, a little salt and pepper, and a pan or grill, you’ve got a healthy meal coming your way in a matter of minutes.

    Seriously…who doesn’t love a grilled dinner!?

You can mass grill (or even bake) your proteins – whether meats or seafood, and piles of veggies all at once with hardly any prep or clean up.

This isn’t rocket science I’m sharing with you today but rather a reminder that healthy is accessible all the time. Im even surprised sometimes when I fix an amazing organic meal in less than 20 minutes. There is really no excuse for eating healthy.

    And guess what!

You can apply the same concepts when dining out.

You can get grilled or baked protein and veggies anywhere.

You can get fresh salads with protein and olive oil lemon and sea salt anywhere.

Healthy is EVERYWHERE if you choose it!

What’s your favorite, simple healthy meal? Would love if you’d share!

I am starting to add a collection of my favorite and simplest recipes right here in the Full Circle Coaching Blog – Look for the recipe tab!

  • Rules for Healthy Eating

    Rules for Healthy Eating

Today I’m coming to you with some practical info that you can implement right away for better health.

So, without further ado, here are my 7 rules for healthy eating:

    1. Drink quality spring or filtered water! Half of your body weight in ounces per day is your absolute minimum. I also suggest drinking a full glass of water between meals with a pinch of real sea salt to prevent over-eating in addition to drinking a glass as soon as you wake up.
    2. Focus on eating mostly proteins, vegetables, good fats, some fruit, and good-quality starches (like root veggies of any kind- think carrots sweet potatoes, squash). Organic when possible and keep sugar to a minimum!
    3. Never eat in a hurry. Do your best to always eat slowly and in a relaxed state.
    4. Never eat until you’re stuffed – stopping when you feel 80% full is key!
    5. Choose high-quality organic foods anytime possible.
    6. Eat only when you’re actually physically hungry, not because it’s “meal time.”
    7. Supplement your diet with high-quality products only as needed. We here at Full Circle Coaching absolutely love all the Bodyhealth products check them out at Bodyhealth.com and use discount code on several products; enter FULLCIRCLE at check out for great savings.

  • It’s Not That Hard But It’s Really Hard

It’s Not That Hard But It’s Really Hard

“Just eat better and train more”

It really doesn’t sound that hard, does it?

    In theory, it’s not.

Whether you want to get faster, lose weight, tone your body, train for a triathlon or just be healthier and have more energy,

The path to get there is fairly simple.
It’s kinda just a matter of doing the work.
But here’s where it gets complex.

    In the follow through.

Life is busier than it’s ever been. We are more addicted to bad foods than ever before. We have an over-abundance of food for the first time in human history. It’s easier than it’s ever been to get by in a sedentary lifestyle.

So much of the experience humans are having today actually makes something that should be simple, hard.

A hundred years ago, healthy food was the only option and you had to move to get through daily life.

    Oh, how things have changed!
So, I get that the concept of working out and eating healthy is a simple one, but I also get how hard it can be.

And that’s one reason that I absolutely love my Full Circle Tribe of athletes.
They’re super determined and we work through the hard stuff together.

That’s why they’re getting these kinds of results:
    • Richard Gomez age 40 is off all his medications after following my nutrition and supplement gut healing protocol, eating healthy and tasteful foods, and in the best shape of his life training for his first Ironman in Lake Placid, NY in July.

    • Vicky Koller, age 65, finished her first triathlon in 2019, had a 15 minute personal record at a 13.1 run race and then completed my 5 day Ultimate Tri Camp, stronger than she’s ever been or even thought possible.

    • Scott Lelling, training online to improve his Olympic distance triathlon time was feeling rudderless during this time and now we have set some new goals for an improved FTP (Functional THreshold Power ) on the bike and a faster 5k. Now training with a purpose.

    – Allison Freeland just Pr’d her 1 mile test by over 1 minute, by keeping her training consisitnet over these past 2 months.

Rodrigo Texeira de Abreu- just PR’d his 5k during last weekend’s Ironman virtual race series.

Just because the world may be on pause, your helath fitness and triathlon goals and dreams don’t have to be.

If you want to see yourself get those kinds of results, simply comment below and let me know. DM me. We’ll schedule a time to talk – absolutely no pressure.

I cannot wait to speak wit you to see what’s possible for you.

  • Athlete Blood Test; My live Blood Work Results

Athlete Blood Test – Watch VIDEO

I found Athlete Blood Test 3 years ago after searching for an easy way to get my blood work information. They are definitely the simplest solution to my quest and they focus on markers that are important to me and the athletes I work with. I know and educate my athletes on how to stay balanced with training, racing and real life but some times imbalances occur especially as stresses increase. Training, nutrition and lifestyle adjustments are always where I start but having the individual information from blood work is extremely helpful to get back on track quickly.

I personally test every year when I’m feeling good to see where my markers naturally lie, and then if i’m feeling off and test I can see where things have changed.

I have had many athletes identify imbalances and correct them with food and supplementation to get back into their optimal performance after getting the information we needed.

I decided to include my test results with you this year, to review some of the questions I had. I also learned that ABT has genetic testing available now as well. In the recording you can hear the benefits of the genetic component which I had not considered before. Please enjoy and comment after listening if you have any questions. All Full Circle Athletes receive a discount to these helpful services.
